Description:
The Museum of Inuit Art presents thirty works on paper from the five most important Inuit print and drawing communities, by artists including Pitseolak Ashoona, Kenojuak Ashevak, Pudlo Pudlat and Sheojuk Etidlooie from Kingnait (Cape Dorset); Joe Talirunili and Josie Papialuk from Puvirnituq (Povungnituk), Jessie Oonark, Luke Anguhadluq and Janet Kigusiuq from Qamanittuaq (Baker Lake); Helen Kalvak and Mark Emerak from Ulukhaktok (Holman); and Annie Kilabuk and Pauloosie Karpik from Panniqtuuq (Pangnirtung).
This exhibit presents the wide range of styles and printmaking techniques used by Inuit artists since the late 1950s.
